Javascript Babel Fish Problem

OK, heres my problem; I have a HTML website that uses Yahoo Babel Fish Translator. Babel Fish works great with my quicklinks. But I have javascript drop down menus, I know that Babel Fish won’t translate a javascript drop down menu, thats ok. But how can i get it to translate the pages that the links go to? Because when you click on the links in the drop down menu and it goes to the page, it wont stay in the language you set it too it goes back to english??

@steveaJun 22.2007 — Could you post a link to the page with the problem? My best guess is that it's because you are overwriting the window's location, thereby removing the preceding address which takes the url as a parameter and translates that url.

@steveaJun 22.2007 — Alright I'm having a tough time deciphering that WYSIWUG generated javascript but the thing that pops out at are the lines that say "location=", which says to me that it is probably using that to navigate as opposed to using a link (which Babel Fish would alter). You may not like my suggestion, but I think you may want to look into CSS menus if you want this to work with the translator (also comes with the added benefit of working regardless of whether or not someone has JS enabled, or CSS for that matter).

@deeztreezeezauthorJun 22.2007 — ok, so are you saying that its taking it to the english "default" location instead of where babel fish would take it? If this is so how can i get it to stay translated? I didnt create this site by the way. im just troubleshouting for my boss

@steveaJun 22.2007 — I just ran a test on my web server and I can't seem to duplicate the issue. As far as I can tell it's occurring because of the way the menu system is implemented, using javascript and window location manipulation.

In other words it's because your menu isn't made of standard links so Babel Fish can't change them.
