JavaScript: getting information from an IFrame

Hello,

I’m trying to get data from a Iframe I have. The iFrame is a YouTube video and I am trying to extract some dat from the source. I’m basing my code off a Greasemonkey script for download a YouTube video. The script is http://www.joshkinberg.com/blog/files/youtube_to_me.user.js
<script type=”text/javascript”>
function something()
{
var t_id = document.frames(“video_frame”).document.playerDiv.src.match(/t=([^(&|$)]*)/)[1];
alert(t_id);
}
</script>
<INPUT TYPE=”button” value=”Submit” onclick=”something();”>
<br />

<iframe src=”http://youtube.com/watch?v=m55kgyApYrY” name=”video_frame” id=”video_frame”></iframe>
Thanks for your help in advance!

@gil_davisMay 29.2007 — Once you load something from a foreign domain into the iframe, browser security features will prevent you from using js to get any information from the iframe. Sorry. ?
