I want to display a date in the format such as it will have a string GMT in it.
e.g. Monday,April 30, 2007 16:30:00 GMT

I tried to use toGMTString() method but it displays the string UTC not GMT.
I want to do this in javascript only.

Please help me.

@theRatWonderApr 20.2007 — That's odd, on mine it says "GMT".

http://www.quirksmode.org/js/introdate.html#GMT - you can give toGMTString() an argument to say the time zone.

If you still get 'UTC' not 'GMT' at the end of yuor string, can always do .replace('UTC','GMT')

@theRatWonderApr 20.2007 — actually I imagine if you're getting the wrong string you're probably not actually using the .toGMTString() method properly. Could you paste how you're using it?

Robin.
