Select all problem

I’ve seen examples that “select all” text in a textarea but I want to select all in a div (or spam) (which would includes HTML code such as images, etc).

Basically if I select the div manually (drag mouse over and right click and copy). Is there a way I can automatically select this div instead of dragging the mouse?

I’ve tried this but doesnt seem to work
document.getElementById(‘divID’).select()
@JMRKERMar 18.2007 — Have you tried using 'innerHTML' to get the information within the <div> or <span> and pass the results to a variable you can use elsewhere?

Might try something like <button onClick="SelectAll('DIVid')">Select All</button>

where the function SelectAll would get the contents of the 'DIVid' object to do with a you wish.
