Safari – no errors but not working, FF & IE seem to work fine

I have a cross browser question.

I am creating a display of questions shown as “Rounds”
It uses some AJAX logic I found that works fine in FF and IE (windows versions)
but does not work on the Safari browser. I do not get errors in the JS console
with any of the browsers, so I don’t know what to change.

Could someone look at: http://www.nova.edu/hpd/otm/Games/bowl/super.html
and give me some ideas about what to change so that the displays
work in all the major browsers?

To see what’s not happening in Safari (but works fine in IE and FF):
1. Select a “Round” button to load the file
2. Click on an item number for the question to display.
3. The other buttons just use CSS to hide/show different areas at a time.

The Safari browser does not seem to load the file in step 1 above so that
I could go on to step 2, but I don’t get any errors!
The script for the AJAX load functions is at: http://www.nova.edu/hpd/otm/Games/bowl/ReadText.js
