Hello, how do i make google see the search words in my site. I’ve tried to write them in the head section: <meta name=”keywords” lang=”en” content=”Winery, Vineyard , cabernet, sauvignon, merlot”>
When i search by these words in google i never get to my site .
@Compguy_PeteNov 28.2006 — #oh this is the most common issue your going to run into.
There are so many factors that come into play here.
1. the age of your site - younger sites have a tough time getting started, even the most highly paid SEO'er has a nearly impossible job of getting this done.
2. the words your using are fair to common. - with names/words like that you should consider google Adwords.
3. get inbound links... the more sites you can get to link to your own the more google will look at what your site has to offer.
4. Content is king! Add new content to your site as often as possible. Make sure it's onsubject for your site and useful.
5. Spelling counts! This may seem a little odd but true story here... I was making a pitch to a client using there exisisting site. I showed them how high they ranked with a word phrase copied from their site. The thing I failed to tell them is that the phrase contained a spelling error they had missed. The search ranked number 1!!! when the correct the spelling was put in the site was listed to deeply to find.
