@pcthugNov 23.2006 β€”Β It's recommended to install the final stable release of PHP 4 (4.4.4) over the former.

@NogDogNov 23.2006 β€”Β If you haven't yet installed Apache or another web server, you might want to look at downloading one of the combined installation packages that install Apache, PHP, and MySQL on your PC, such as XAMPP (also installs Perl) or WAMP.

@NinkoauthorNov 23.2006 β€”Β I've following the Tutorial: Installing Apache and PHP Under Win32

and I've encountered a problem. I've done everything it said, but

when I Start Apache back up it throws some kind of error message.

Something to do with it can't load that Module.

Any ideas?

Thanks

@NinkoauthorNov 23.2006 β€”Β How do you copy and paste something in a DOS window?
Copy linkTweet thisAlerts:
@chazzyNov 23.2006 β€”Β there's usually a mark command in "dos prompt" (what OS are you using)

typically you can right click

or you can click the icon in the upper left and go to edit.

@legendxNov 24.2006 β€”Β If this is for personal use on your own machine than there is no reason to be installing all the components seperatly. Try something like http://uniformserver.com/

It installs a light version of all the required components very quickly and painlessly. Unless you're specifically trying to do something in php 4.04 (which I would be very interested in hearing why.. seeing as its not the mainstream version nor the most recent), I would definitly look into an all in one solution.

@chazzyNov 24.2006 β€”Β have you actually verified that the file exists there? can you search your computer for a php4apache.dll? try pointing httpd.conf to look there for modules.
Copy linkTweet thisAlerts:
@NinkoauthorNov 24.2006 β€”Β Yeah that exact file and file extention is found there, one of the first things I checked lol.

@NinkoauthorNov 24.2006 β€”Β Ok, I've managed to fix it, it seems I was using the wrong module for Apache 2.0x lol.

Thanks all for your help, no doubt your see me again soon :p

Take care
