Question on splitting an array

I have an array of strings which I need to split further before writing into MySQL database. The pattern is as follows:

name1 val1 val2 val3
name2 val1 val2 val3

Currently, each row is a sinlge value in an array. How to split it and loop through it to separate and output into individual columns in a database?

I tried explode() but it doesn’t seem to work on arrays…

Any suggestions greatly appreciated! Thanks.

@NogDogJun 10.2007 — You'll have to loop through the array and explode each element:
foreach($myArray as $string)
{
$parts = explode(' ', $string);
// do whatever needs doing with the elements of $parts
}
@ad_ausauthorJun 11.2007 — Thanks for the pointer, NogDog. I knew it would have to be something with looping but was not sure what to apply. Easy, once I know what to do!
