Can Web Pages Display Within Tables Or Forms?

I’m trying to display a web page within my about section on my myspace profile.

Myspace will not allow me to use the following tags:

<object>

<frame>

<iframe>

When I try it does not display the elements. It simply places … where those tags are or surrounds them with brackets like this <[iframe]>.

Very frustrating! Please help!

@WebJoelNov 01.2006 — No being snide or anything, but if your host won't permit <object> or <iframe>, -get a new host. You have a 'free' hosting space, yes? It can be considered "advertising" if you are "importing an external page" into THEIR service. Most 'free hosting' frowns upon 'hotlinking' to your images in 'their' service... kind of a limitation if you wanted to share images with people.

There are dozens of other free hosting spaces, -go for an AD-free "free" host. I am fond of awardspace.com. 200MB in their "free" account. No adverts. They permit some Server-side stuff too (this is RARE for a free hosting account). They permit advertising (as long as it's legal of course) so you can sell stuff, services, etc. Other benefits, etc. Nice.

@darrenpurvisauthorNov 01.2006 — Your comment does nothing to help. I don't understand what you mean by get another host. Myspace is the host. I'm not dumping it. I'm looking for a way to circumvent the problem and post the page.

No, I'm sure that my advice didn't help you. If your host doesn't support the <object>, <frame> or <iframe> element, there is probably a good reason they are preventing these valid HTML tags from functioning (their TOS?) and nobody's advice will help you. Getting another host doesn't mean you have to fire the current host. Keep Myspace, -I really don't care. Really. ? But be open enough to try another host. A free one, -you don't have to spend any money. You merely submit ("host") your page on another company's server. You might discover that other hosting companies out there have services that you may find quite useful. Keep Myspace. ? As for circumventing the settings of your current host if they are intentially blocking certain tags and/or scripts that they do not wish their users to use, well, -I'm not going to give you any advice that is probably a violation of their TOS and have your membership in that elite hosting company terminated and your site gets deleted and you come back here all angry, blaming me. ?

- just visited myspace.com and briefly looked over their Terms of Service

http://www.myspace.com/Modules/Common/Pages/TermsConditions.aspx

and see a few things that could by interpretation, explain exactly what I said and why. Help making others' web pages display in your page? -No, -I'm not going to help you do that. :o Sorry I could not be of any assistance.
