Flash Player version messing up CSS!?

Ok this is a weird one. Something I’ve never heard of before…

If you look at my home page [url=http://www.migthegreek.com][color=blue]www.migthegreek.com[/color][/url] – the aquarium thing should be floated to the right.

However, I noticed that when viewing it on machines that have Flash Player version 7 or lower, the float doesn’t seem to occur. It will be on the left, with everything else pushed below it.

I then upgraded the Flash Player to 9 on those machines and it works fine suddenly.

Any ideas?

@beahawkSep 01.2006 — I have flash disabled on my browser but it shows the placeholder in the place of the flash on the left hand side (the content text does not show) If I enable flash the content shows and the flash moves over to the right. Perhaps you could try changing where the flash appears in the order of the code?

@toicontienSep 01.2006 — You might want to wrap the OBJECT tag in a DIV and float the DIV instead. You'll probably have better luck positioning a DIV rather than an OBJECT. Sometimes that element acts strangely because OBJECT tags are actually replaced by an instance of an external application. Positioning and floating can be buggy or quirky (even though I don't think it should). A DIV tag is probably more sure-footed.

@MigauthorSep 06.2006 — Yeah but why would the Flash player version matter? I don't understand how that can affect the float.
