Would You Buy One?

Over the past 6 months or so, I have seen a number of search engines and meta search engines sold on eBay. The most notable was Jux2 which sold for over $100,000. Obviously there were a lot of bidders and lots of interest, but what is the business rationale for buying a search engine or meta search engine? Who would want one and how do you make money? Would you buy one?

without knowing you or your business it's hard to say if it's something you should do.

If I had 100k burning a hole in my pocket... I can't say I'd jump into buying a SE, even if I had a plan and it was the next google. I wouldn't hesitate in spending it on another business that was either related or unrelated to the web.

Perhaps if you give me some insight in why your looking at buying something like this I could give some additional feedback
