Hi !!!
I have a funny question, which is probably the closest thing to a stupid question.
How does google calculates the google rank for a page ?
I mean, I know all the theory behind that, with pages having more importance than other pages, and the links theory and all that (I’ve read a lot on google rank stuff).
What I mean is : if there’s a page which generates a LOT of visits, everyday, but this page is not linked on any other page, it will still get a high google rank. How does google determines how important this page is, if the users simply type in the url and don’t use the google SE ? How can google know how many visits and how huge the traffic on a website is, when the users don’t use google to go to the website ?
Just a random thing I’ve been wondering about for quite long.
Thanks.
