Link in an email targeting a specific browser window?

My site uses a verification email for new members. I’d like the link in that email to target the original web page that sent the email.

Is that possible? I’ve already used javascript to name the correct window, and I use “TARGET” in the email link, but it still opens in a new window.

Any ideas?

@felgallApr 29.2006 — You can't even assume that there IS a browser on the computer that they are reading the email on. I use a second computer just for reading emails.
