stretchable table layout

This is my layout [url]http://examples.awardspace.com/[/url]
What i want to do is make the content box stretch more and the only way to to make it stretch more is make it bigger in photoshop but I’ll have to reslice it but that’s too much of a hassle cause there are pages that i want to shrink more & stretch. Is there a easy way to make the content box longer & shorter so I don’t have to worry how much text I’m gonna put.

@_lt_Eddie_gt_Apr 12.2006 — Let the content do the stretching. Layouts are vertically dynamic and will cater for whatever content you put in it. I could however be missing the point completely. ?

@ray326Apr 12.2006 — So ditch the slice-n-dice, mark up your content correctly and use CSS to realize your layout. You're going to be killing yourself going all the way back through the graphics loop to fix single character errors, alter menus, almost anything. THAT's the reason the construction method you've used died a well deserved death in the 20th century.
