Can anyone point me to an article that shows the importance of a domains registration, i.e., length of registration.

@_lt_Eddie_gt_Apr 11.2006 — Basically if the site is a long term prospect then it doesn't hurt to register the domain long term. From what I've heard, when Google applied for patents for its technology, domain registration was a factor. When it comes to competing for business, every trick in the book is needed so better be safe than sorry and register for as much as you can afford. How much rank this offers is negligable but every ounce helps.
