I’m new to this web stuff and have just finished developing a web site for my small business. I’m using my earthlink account to develop the site. Now I want to know how to register my domain and get my web site on search engines. Can any help me with this? 😮
@cangellJan 03.2006 — #To register a domain I would go to godaddy.com, they are one of the cheapest and easiest to use.
You can either go to each site and add your url or use a software package to do it for you. Lastly you can hire someone to submit your sites for you. Stay away from FFA site and link farms.
@emanresu1Jan 17.2006 — #Search the web for good optimization softwares, there are a few out there like WebCeo who include autosubmissions to good search engines, this will get you started with inbound links. Google will see the inbound links and start indexing you to rank later on. It's a long process so be prepare to wait.
@etechdesignsJan 17.2006 — #I think you should register domain name at reliable and reputed domain registrar like godaddy, namecheap, netfirms, directi etc. to name a few. It will take around 45 hrs. to populate. To get indexed on search engines, IMO you need some patience. I think it is too early that you are worry about this. You should first design with some basic seo guides and upload your site on internet world. ?
