transition-property

The transition-property property designates the name of the CSS property for which the transition effect is for.

Syntax

The transition effect starts when the specified CSS property changes (such as being hovered over). Note that the transition-duration property must be specified, otherwise the transition will have no effect.

a.animated {
  color: #fff;
  transition-property: color;
}

a.animated:hover {
  color: #000;
}

Values

none
No CSS property will have a transition effect.

all
Default value. All CSS properties will get a transition effect.

property
A comma separated list of CSS properties the transition effect is for.

initial
Sets the property to its default value.

inherit
Inherits this property’s value from its parent item.
