The max-height
property designates the maximum height of an element.
If the content is larger than the max-height
value, the property will be applied but the content will overflow. The overflow
property defines how the container will handle the overflowing content. If the content is smaller than the max-height
value, the property will not have any effect.

Defines in length units (px, pt, em, etc.) the maximum height of the element.

Defines the maximum height of the element in percentage of the containing element.

Sets the property to its default value.
