Convert Mysql DateTime to local timestamp

My my database, i have two columns. a datetime ‘mydate’ column and a varchar ‘timezone’ column

Let’s say I have ‘2024-02-02 21:00:00.000000’ and timzeone ‘Europe/Paris’

Now I want to convert it to Pacific/Auckland

It should be 9am on Saturday 3rd, I get 10am… I’ve used this function. Any ideas?

Copy code
$datetime = new DateTime('2024-02-02 21:00:00', new DateTimeZone('Europe/Paris'));
$datetime->setTimezone(new DateTimeZone('Pacific/Auckland'));

echo $datetime->format('Y-m-d H:i:s');

Success!
