Annoying img bottom padding!?

Hi

I’m toying with re-vamping our intranet, based on teh blue-robot CSS : [url]http://www.simonwray.dsl.pipex.com/irisindex/first.htm[/url]

As you can see there is a really annoying 1/2pixel bit of padding between the .headcontent border and the img border.

Ideally I want a 1px border around the .headcontent div that wraps top & bottom around the image itself. I just can’t find what is causing the extra white space between the image bottom & the .headcontent div bottom.

Can anyone tell me what is creating it?

Edit: This occurs in both IE6 & FF.

FYI the pink border around the header is to illustrate the problem only.
