Identify Windows XP

Hi ,
I have used tag classid=”clsid:8AD9C840-044E-11d1-B3E9-00805F499D93″ in my applet. but this some how is now not working in Windows XP machine . ie, m unable to view the applet. But it is working in Windows 2000. If i comment it it wont work in Windows 2000.
I want to isolate this code usinf _info.indexOf(“Win”), but this is true for all windows OS. Am unable to run my applet in both Windows XP & 2000.
