i’m trying to link from a homepage (a) to another page with an iframe (b). the trick is that i want the link from the homepage to determine what gets loaded in the iframe.
is this possible?
more context:
here is a link to the homepage (a.html) – [url]http://www.tralucent.net/client/fvc
the page (b.html) with the iframe (source = c.html) is here – [url]http://www.tralucent.net/client/fvc/events
c.html loads an events calendar provided by trumba.com (this is the only solution trumba offers to integrate the calendar into a site). if you click on one of the events it loads the detail within the same iframe. no problems here.
you’ll notice on the homepage a.html that i have a “Preview of Upcoming Events” area containing links that I’d like to do the following:
open b.html and load the specific event info into the iframe which houses the default calendar view… instead of the iframe being c.html it could be d, e, f, g.html… depending on what link they clicked on from the Upcoming Events area on the homepage. (i can obtain the specific URL for each event detail from the trumba calendar)
any help is greatly appreciated – even if it’s a definitive answer that says, “you can’t do this” ?
