Does Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 block document.write()?

I’ve got IE7 Beta 2 and I’m having a heck of a time getting JavaScript to work. It seems the recommended security settings for IE7 block scripts from changing the Document Object Model. No kidding. A simple document.write doesn’t work for me. Is anyone else running into this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?

@ccoppenbargerMar 08.2006 — I got it work, but I'm having other problems with getting it to work in IE in another instance.

@toicontienauthorMar 09.2006 — I actually figured it out already. In the Internet Options:

  • 1. Go to the "Security" tab.

  • 2. Click the "Custom Level..." button.

  • 3. Scroll down to the "ActiveX controlls and plug-ins" section.

  • 4. Under the "Allow Scriptlets" option, make sure you have this set to "Enable."
  • ×

    Success!
