Using Header Includes affect seach engine?

Hey All, I am using a header include for ALL of my webpages. Which means that the <meta> tags are in the header file which is used on each one of my pages. Is this a bad thing if I want a search bot to pick up my meta tags?

@Compguy_PeteFeb 17.2006 — If you're depending on the use of Meta Tags for the promotion of your site your most likely going to be disappointed in the results.

Reason for this is Google pays very little attention to these old and outdated methods of site promotion. Things that will help more than your planed route is:

Good inbound links

Good Keyword use in Context & Content of your site.

Proper usage of H1, H2, H3, bold and other such text formatting

@SeoDocMar 07.2006 — Using include files for your meta tags can affect rank. Especially if you are including your title and meta description. The title tag is very important and should be unique for each and every page in your site. The description tag is only slightly important.
