Regarding SEO of a site

I have developed a site.

I need to promote the rank of that site,for that what are all the things I have to do? any text fields I want to keep?

If it so did I want to store those values in database?

@Compguy_PeteFeb 17.2006 — Well a SE spider will not crawl your DB... Anything you want indexed should be in plan view.

Very important keywords should be used in Heading tags as much as possible while keeping the layout pleasent to look at.

Other percieved keywords should be used as much as possible in context of your site.

Careful site layout and planning go a long way!
