IE Security Message

Hi,

Not sure if this thread has been posted before so sorry if it has…

Was wondering if there is any way of stopping javascripts from making IE display the “To help protect your security, internet explorer has restricted this file from showing active content…” message?

@felgallFeb 05.2006 — The message is telling you that the Javascript is trying to do something that Javascript should not be allowed to do (and which most browsers wont let it do rather than giving people the option of allowing Javascripts to trash their system the way IE does if you disable that message).

@userloginFeb 05.2006 — You will get that message WITH ANY SCRIPT regardless of the SECURITY IMPLICATIONS and that warning in itself IS NO INDICATION that any malicious code is present.

You have to also remember that MOST sites do code in a responsible manner, the closer you get to the fringes, like hack sites and w@rez sites, your going to have to be careful. I know myself all too well because even I have met with a malicious exploit attempt from such sites.

You have to put common sense into practice and if your never sure, dont click on it or allow it to run.
