about session to be included in header

hello freinds,

I have one doubt in my program, I created one page which have a include statement which directs the current page to another page, In this i have to [B]send Session value.[/B] Please reply me how to sent this value to the directed page. ?

[code=php]
<?php
session_start();
?>
[/code]

and then to set a session variable:
[code=php]
 $_SESSION['key'] = "value";
[/code]
