e-mail links

Hi a real computer novice here,

I have two computers on a network at home. One of these has in the past couple of days had the following problem;

Every hotmail e-mail I receive which has a link, I cannot open the link. When I do, I get the message “javascript:ol(link name) on the bottom bar. Also the word “done” appears and nothing happends. I either have to use the second computer or put the link into goggle(which opens it up). Anyone know what the problem/issue is? Please keep it very very simple as computer talk has me lost. Have I downloaded something somehow?
Hoping for some friendly helpfull advice.
