Time sensitive content using SSI

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to get a “Pic of the Day” to display automatically on my index page for each day of the year. I’ve been successful in doing this by having my script read the clock from client’s computer, but if the client were to change their computer’s clock, they’d be able to see the “Pic of the Day” from other points in the year (which I don’t want). I’m trying to get it to display automatically by reading the day off my server’s clock.

I haven’t been able to find any examples of a script like this on the Internet. Anyone think they can help me out? I’d greatly appreciate it.

Charles

@A1ien51Jan 19.2006 — You need to use a serverside language to do get the time then, you can never rely on a client's machine.

@BrightStarProauthorJan 19.2006 — I've been succesful in using SSI to get my server's time and displaying it in a "day, month, date, year hour:minute:second" format. However, I'm having difficulty taking that script and using it to do what I described in my initial post.

Again, any help would be appreciated.
