@bokehJan 19.2006 — #Load sharing is done by the DNS... not the webserver. Basically all the webservers would be configured the same way but the DNS would serve the IPs of the various servers in rotation.
The other way is all requests go to the a caching server that just serves cached pages. Because it is doing no processing the caching server is fast. If it receives a request it can't handle it passes it over the server that does processing. The DB server can either be based on this server or a third server, depending on server load.
