Help! Rollover problems

Hi,

I’ve designed a site containing rollovers (the left hand menu bar on www.tcrsearch.co.uk). They work fine offline and uploaded on my server space, but not unfortunately not on the server space of my client. Can anybody help – unfortunately I was unable to upload the site myself as, owing to security, I wasn’t allowed the ftp details. Does it suggest a problem at upload?

thanks to anybody who can help

Alex

@FangJan 10.2006 — The JavaScript is all on 1 line; the comment line. You have commented it out!

@AlmcleodauthorJan 10.2006 — Hi Fang,

thanks for your reply

I did notice the code had all gone on to 1 line - wasn't sure why. On my server it appears as it should and the rollovers work. Is this happening when the client uploads do you think as it seems odd it should appear correct on my server (and the code displays as it should) and not on the clients?

@FangJan 10.2006 — Possibly some compression tool has been used on the JavaScript.

Just remove the commenting characters from the JavaScript and get the client to upload again.

@AlmcleodauthorJan 10.2006 — thanks Fang,

Apologies, as I'm new to web design, but what is the 'commenting'?
Copy linkTweet thisAlerts:
@FangJan 10.2006 — In red:

In your case:
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/JavaScript"><!--function MM_swapImgRestore() ... bla ... x.src=a[i+2];}}//--></script>

The JavaScript may still not work correctly because it is all on 1 line, unless it was written correctly!

@FangJan 10.2006 — Any clearer in red?

@AlmcleodauthorJan 10.2006 — I think it may be our old work Browser not displaying properly as I can't see any text. I'll check this at home when I get back. Thanks a lot for your help - I appreciate it.
