Javascript won't make things show up unless you dynamically create them, and if it is set to do it onload. If you don't create anything dynamically then nothing will show up because there is no HTML to display.

It can't get any simpler than that. Instead of using Frontpage (which produces extremely horrible and inadequate code . . . seeing how it is based on tables instead of divs . . .) just use notepad. you can create the basic html code in FP, but then just copy and paste it into notepad and add in your JS. I would suggest just learning how to code for yourself though instead of using FP. You can learn how to program most of what FP does in less than a week (and your code would be much neater and better formatted most likely).
