Sliding Content

This may be a bit complex, but I wanted to see if anyone could point me in the right direction.

I’m working on a website for someone that has a menu that slides up and down. What I want to be able to do is add content below the menu and have that content slide down if the menu is opened (in the down position) I know this is possible because yahoo.com has ads on the right of their screen the you can open or close (IE only) Anyway, if anyone knows what I would have to do to go about this, I’d appreciate the help.
