Using specific fonts on pages!!!

I’m currently developing a web page with a font that is not common on all computers and therefore everything displays as a default font.

Is there a script of html code that i can use so that it links up with the font file on the server (commonblack.ttf) so that the text will use this link to display the right font on any computer as it would on mine.

@bathurst_guyDec 17.2005 — You can add a link to the font and a little comment that asks the user to download it - but very rarely would someone do this. You can use flash to display your font as it enbedds the font into the swf. I know of [url=http://www.mikeindustries.com/sifr/]sIFR[/url], if the user has flash installed - it displays in the font that you wanted - otherwise you can choose a different font - and this is also screen reader and search engine friendly.

@felgallDec 18.2005 — Provide a list of fonts in your stylesheet so that it will display using the first font from the list that is available on the computer. This assumes that your visitor doesn't override the appearance of the page to display in their favourite font instead.
