log4j configuration

Hi,

i want to configure log4j-1.2.12 on a linux server 4 on tomcat and use it in a web application. can anyone help me in this regard??

@Khalid_AliDec 07.2005 — you will need to configure log4j to use for in each web application.

You will need to put log4j.jar file in the lib folder under the WEB-INF folder of your web app. Put your log4j.properties file in the WEB-INF/classes folder

An now you should be able to use it (in some cases you may also explicitly load properties file at the start of the web application)
