Hiding contents of a DIV?

Is this possible?

I have an HTML doc. I don’t want to change anything in it, so that I’ll be able to just create different style sheets for it (like Zen Garden).

I have all of my navigation links in one DIV container. I don’t need it for a style I’m working on applying to the page, so I just need it to not show up with this particular style.

I suppose I could just make the text color white and drop it behind an image but I’m wondering if there’s a better way.

Thanks in advance.
