Sort Copy of Array

I want to alphabetically sort a copy of an array, but keep the original intact.
unsorted = new Array(50);

var sorted = unsorted.sort();
so sorted will be a sorted array
but unsorted will remain in the original order.

Is this possible without creating two arrays manually?

Thanks

@Orc_ScorcherNov 28.2005 — Sure, write your own sort function that doesn't copy in place. Quicksort is just a few lines in JavaScript. I don't know why you wouldn't want to create a copy of the unsorted array first, though:

sorted = unsorted.slice(0).sort()

I would have no problem creating the copy first. Thanks Orc
