searchable database (records)

Hey guys..can anyone help?

I am looking for a way to have the user enter names into a database and then to have an optional search on that same database and to have specific information displayed about that person (user). I know this will require some sql which I tootally forget how to do. I also want a way that the user can erase his or her profile. Is there a way to do this? 😮
