Drawback of client-side scripting

This question came up on a practice quiz for CIW -What would be a drawback of client-side scripting? 1.) Code only works in I.E., or 2.)code relies on client’s interpreter 3.) code only works on a server 4.)code relies on XHTML implementation….I’ve pondered this for a time and figure answer 2 or 4 seem reasonable. Any input?

Take care

Gary

True, but I am not sure whether I would call this a drawback considering client-side technologies were never developed for such use.

The key drawback, in my opinion, is the fact that an assumption must be made on the client machines technological capabilities.

Regards.
