Purchased HTML Templates

Hi, recently purchased a load of HTML templates and am really pleased with the collection, but have noticed something strange when opening some of them. At the top of my screen this message appears:
“To help protect your security your web browser has restricted this file
from showing active content that could access your computer.”

Okay, I’m assuming there’s some spyware or whatever attached to some of these templates, the question is; how can I get rid of it, I’ve looked for hidden codes, torn the templates apart piece by piece without finding out where this code is located, or maybe it’s not about spyware etcetera. And you can probably tell I haven’t been invovled with web sites long enough to know how to handle this situation, so can anyone give me any advice on this matter or are these templates doomed to not be used, and, am I maybe worried about nothing? That there is no real problem to using these templates. I just don’t know and tend to be very cautious when something is trying to access my computer without me knowing why, and if I were to use these templates does it mean that when they are published this same thing will try and access the computers of people who land on my website? So, many questions, sorry. Thanks for any help with this.

@felgallNov 20.2005 — Not necessarily intentional spyware. They may just be badly written templates that weren't tested properly on a browser with proper security enabled.

@LodovikusNov 21.2005 — I think your computer security settings is medium to high and sets not to allow HTML emails........you know those clever people that able to send you junk emails with very pretty images? I bet their images never get to your computer, well done for you.

If thats is the case then not to worry about that anoying pop up just close it. The other thing is if the pages contained flash object or any mowing bits you might need to use then you have to right click on hte pop up message and allow block content.

@RtistauthorNov 21.2005 — Thank you so much for the quick responses, you have both allayed some of my fears. It sounds logical from the viewpoints you have both expressed.

@ray326Nov 21.2005 — Those templates may have some Javascript in them.

@KeveyNov 21.2005 — I think it is JavaScript also...same thing happens to me with pages I wrote myself.

@Robert_WellockNov 21.2005 — Localised JavaScript.
