Help hidding email on conact us button

I am a complete novice and need help.

I have bought a web building software package to design my website. I am happy so far until I get to the contact us page. When you click on the submit button outlook message opens up with the information that I have just typed into the various boxes, which looks unprofessional and also displays the email address.

What I would like is when the submit button is clicked the information is sent to my email address but in the background so the submitter doesn’t see the email address.

@pramseyNov 06.2005 — I went to ntlworld.com (assuming that's the official site) and could not find any info about hosting or how users should set up formmail. Do you have PHP or ASP access with that host? If you could contact them and ask which method (asp, php, cgi) they use for formmail I can get a script for you.

apparently as I am using my webspace from my ISP they don't support any of the formmail. Would it be best to change my hoster and if so what one gives you the best value for money?

YES.

Do a search, find one that offers a cgi-bin, has perl installed,

or php or asp, etc. Send them an e-mail if you need more info.

and see if they respond - if yes, you might have a winner.

There are loads of hosts that give you databases, easy to install

scripts and information on all of your server paths - around 5-10 $ /mo.

This is the way I'm protecting eMail addresses (at least from robots, I hope), at the moment.

When you edit the template, don't remove the hidden fields, those are needed, but you can edit them to fit your needs.

When you have it edited to fit your needs, send your self an email, just to make sure everything is working fine.
