Question about backgrounds

I am just trying to learn how to set up a description page for my ebay auctions. I have worked days on the page, have it looking great, but when I copy and paste, the background covers the whole page and does not stay within the description area of the ebay page. What am I doing wrong?

Please if you respond, make this as simple of an explaination as possible, I am in no way computer savy. Thank you ?

@kelly23Nov 05.2005 — You need to make sure that it's not a page background, but a background that's set just for a div or table.

Post the code that you're using and we should be able to help.

@BeebumperNov 06.2005 — Tell us how the background was created. As Kelly23 said we need a little more information to really understand what is the root of the problem. If you just used a Word Processor Background setting such as found in Microsoft Word it will not translate. You can with a little work use your print screen button to copy the background you want into MS Paint and then size it and save it as a gif or jpeg file. Can you use html on the site you are trying to post as it is pretty easy to add a background that you creat that way.
