Case sensetive?

I’m new to Javascript and I was just wondering, Is javascripts case sensetive, and will it react different if I have spaces and enters around in the script?

For instance, will these mean the same thing:

var hello = ‘Hello World’;

VaR HeLLo=’HELLO world’;

VAR HE
LLO=’HELLO WO
RLD’;

Need an answere, thank ?

@konithomimoNov 02.2005 — The designers of JavaScript chose to be lazy when parsing (scanning) script keywords and commands. They did not convert all command and keyword letters to lower case before attempting to recognise them. This means that a variable called Fred is treated entirely different to a variable called fred.

Even if JS didnt behave this way, it is proper coding etiquette to not leave spaces and things in you source.

@TheBearMayNov 02.2005 — Case sensitive so your only valid statement is

var hello = "Hello World";

Trying to include a line feed will cause an error due to an unterminated quote.
