How to remove stylesheet from page?

Is there a way to remove a stylesheet?

I know there is the document.styleSheets array, but it doesn’t seem I can manipulate that like a normal array (which makes sense).

How could I remove a stylesheet in both IE 6 and Firefox 1.x?

sheet.ownerNode.parentNode.removeChild(sheet.ownerNode)Don't expect this code to be cross-browser compatible... Isn't it sufficient to just disable the stylesheet?document.styleSheets[0].disabled = true
