I use a script called BoxOver, it is a script that creates a box with text to appear above a word I hover the mouse over, I use this mainly for the pupose of saving space on my website, I’m not sure and would like that somebody that knows for sure to tell me if a text inside an html code or a javascript (in my case it’s the text that appears inside the box over the word) will be seen by search engines and given the same value as a text that I just naturally put on my website, I mean if I have something that would make a search engine to find my website as a text within a script, will the search engine dig into the script and locate the needed keywords inside that particular text?
Here’s a sample code:
[I]<DIV TITLE=”doubleclickstop=[On] header=[‘Title’] body=[‘Text’]” STYLE=”BORDER: #558844 1px solid;WIDTH:102px;HEIGHT: 21px”>
<FONT COLOR=”FF0000″>’Word'</FONT>
</DIV>
The ‘Text’ section is where I put the text, and that’s what I’m interested that search engines will find… Will they dig into this code and see the text?
This code goes into the body of the page, I also put a JS in the head of the page which initiates that body code, might this script block that text in any way?
Thank you in advance.
