animated images

Hello

I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand. I am developing a website using PHP and would like to have a few animated gifs. It works all well and good at home however if there is a PC that access the site that does not have View Animation on Web Page selected it wont show the image.

So my question: Is there a way in PHP to detect if that option is selected and to either 1) enable the setting on the Internet tools or 2) detect if its enabled or not and throw in an IF Statement to put in a text instead. or possible some other work around.

I know 1) is highly unlikely but any advice or tips are most welcome.

Thanks in advanced
Dobo

@SpectreReturnsSep 10.2005 — You COULD detect what browser the user is using, and then check it off on a hardcoded list of browsers which supported animated images. As far as I know, you can not actually detect that, and there is NO way you can change their options.
