Help: Code not working in IE

this little ajax demo app

No complaint with FF – works as I intended.
But IE is not getting it.

e.g.
1) Last inserted element not getting fade effect but ALWAYS the first one.
2) Link on bottom does not delay appearance as I want.

please help thanks

@KorSep 07.2005 — If you encounter problems with "the last", "the first" child node and so on... That might be due to the fact that IE and Moz count in different ways the childNodes of a parent, in case of gaps. Moz consider gaps as possible textNodes (possible childNodes, then) while IE ignore the gaps (in fact the first gap in a case of a nested tag).

It hard to say what to do... There are some codes here and there which may remove dynamically the gaps... Or you may transform the codes using a nodeType verifying code... Intricate, this last one...
