Back Links Question

Hi,

I have recently begun to design web sites and have a portfolio page where I list the links to those sites. When I put my link on their site (ex. Site By: Newport Design Studio) those sites are listed in ones that are linked back to me (I am checking from a link I found [url]http://www.555webtemplates.com/backlinks-tool.asp[/url]) But when I type in their URLs, my site is not listed ever as ones that are linked back to them and I have no idea why … my portfolio page is:

[url]http://www.newportdesignstudio.com/Clients.htm[/url]

I am new at optimizing for link backs so any help is greatly appreciated!

@jmaresca2005Sep 06.2005 — your links havent matured yet or the resource where the backlink checker gets its backlinks is not indexing the sites with your links. They will mature. Links need to age like wine. Link age is another piece of the algorithom in search engine spiders.
