I’m a newbie so go slow! ?

I am using an application to create my website. One of the files it stores on my PC is default.html. I have modified this file and want to ftp it up to the server. However, on the server, there is no default. html. But there is a file named default.asp.

So do I need to modify the asp file on the server instead of modifying the HTML file? If I modify the html file and upload it, will that work? I’m a little confused why the file does not exist on the server.

Or does the asp file on the server read what’s in my html file and do something with it or ?? The contents of the html and asp file appear to be pretty close.

Bottom line is that I need to modify the code in default.html and get the server to realize that.

Which way do I go from here?

Thanks!

@bogbrushianSep 04.2005 — delete the asp file on the server, the page sounds like a holding page for you. then upload your page
