Simple HTML table problem but not so simple for me.

please check the following site out:

http://www.csi.co.uk/csi/

When i click on the menu link “Fibre Cabling” it expands and another two menu links appear below it. The expansion of the menu causes the content area in the middle move down as well.

Now ive tried to sort this out but it seems beyond me. What do i need to change so that the content area doest move like that when the menu expands?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

thanks

thats not whats causing the problem. And if i make that change then the menu wont expand. I think its got something to do with the way ive laid out the tables.

I thought you wanted to kill it and just have a link.

What is it you want it to do?

@jasearauthorSep 04.2005 — what i want is this:

When you click on the fibre cabling the menu expands. And if you look at the right hand content section they move from their original position as well and go a bit down.

I want to be able to click on that link, expand the menu without the content on the right moving down.

@cyber1Sep 05.2005 — jasear-

If you do want to continue with the curent code.

Do the following:

For testing purposes set all table borders to 1.

This allows you to see them and you can see whats happening.

In the cell that contains the menu and the one with the iframe set the vertical align to valign="top".

This should solve that movement problem.

And as a side note, there seems to be a lot more tables then you really need.

The code needs serious cleaning up, at the very least it needs validated
